Rules and conditions
Un moment de détente dans le SPA
What are the main rules and conditions for admission?
Before booking and arriving, we advise you to carefully read our General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC), where everything is explained in more detail. However, you should quickly know that:
By booking at Mas Natura, you acknowledge that there are two separate accommodations, each with its own terrace, balcony, staircase, and separate entrance. You also have access to shared spaces such as a large parking area and garden, an orchard and vegetable patch, and, most importantly, a gym and games room, as well as a swimming pool and spa. The owners' residence is located at the front of the Mas, although it is not a concierge service. Our primary responsibility is the upkeep of the shared spaces (swimming pool, irrigation, etc.).), to guide you on your visits or help if needed, but not to do your laundry, drive you around every day, tidy up or do your shopping for you...
Please put away the cushions, deck chairs, and parasols after each use and do not leave anything lying around when you are not present, especially inflatable toys and beach towels. Please also store the covers and secure the shutters due to possible gusts of wind, even in summer. Because of the proximity to the sea, with its changeable weather and risk of wildfires in the Pyrénées-Orientales (PO), the swimming pool also serves as our mandatory and readily accessible water reservoir.
Similarly, the smoking area is only provided outside the accommodations and rooms, but as we live in an area with a high risk of fire, as everywhere in the South of France, safety measures are necessary. This way you will have at your disposal one or more closed ashtrays (more suitable for our region), as well as a gas griddle on wheels with a lid rather than a charcoal barbecue which is more dangerous, toxic and above all very risky with young children or animals, especially in strong winds.
Furthermore, it is advisable, as common sense dictates, to always keep young children and animals under your supervision and responsibility, especially around the shared swimming pool (which is, incidentally, off-limits to pets for reasons of hygiene, fur, and safety). Never leave them alone in the accommodations, even for a few minutes or to run a quick errand, as you never know what might happen in an unfamiliar place, or in the countryside. We remind you that pets are not allowed on the upper floor (in THE TOWER), but only on the garden level (in THE NEST) or ground floor (in the ROOMS).
As for the large, unheated communal swimming pool (5 x 10 meters), it is generally open from early May (or late April) until mid-October (or early November), depending on the temperature (it is closed below 15°C). Completely fenced and lockable if necessary for young children, and using a chlorine-free system (a device transforms salt into natural chlorine in the private garden shed), the pool needs to be cleaned almost every night, especially during the summer. Therefore, we ask visitors to avoid using it between 9 pm and 9 am when the robotic cleaner is running and the surrounding area is being maintained.
The spa is closed in July and August and is available for an additional fee depending on the weather (bathrobe and adult flip-flops are provided). It is limited to 3 people at a time after a quick shower (no lotion or oil). Please let us know in advance (heating time can be several hours depending on the season). If possible, use the spa between 10 am and 4 pm (due to the solar panels), but other times are also possible. Short explanatory video (in French) to watch before entering and SMS when leaving to warn that it can be closed and the cover weighted down because of the wind.
We also ask everyone to be eco-responsible with their waste and drinking water, especially by avoiding waste, as well as electricity at night (solar panels are useful during the day). For example, by favoring tap water, pouring bottled water at the base of plants in the evening, turning off taps, and limiting unnecessary showers. Only wash dogs when necessary (water jet outside upon request) and cars in designated areas near supermarkets. If you wish, we also invite you to participate in our household composting at the back of the garden near the orchard with your vegetable waste (excluding citrus fruits, dairy, and meat products) using the closed-lidded bucket. Similarly, we recycle paper, metals, and plastics. Waste is disposed of in the large yellow bin and household waste in the green bins, glass and other bottles in the bin at the entrance near the electric gate or in the large containers at the entrance to the village.
It's also important to know that thanks to our solar panels, we produce our own electricity during the day, allowing you to benefit from reversible air conditioning year-round. That's why we encourage you to keep all doors and windows closed to maintain coolness in the summer and warmth in the winter. We also recommend running your household appliances (washing machine, dishwasher, etc.) during the day and charging your digital devices (tablets, computers, etc.) during the day so they can be switched off at night. This also provides an opportunity to reconnect with family and friends through board games, walks, and to appreciate the peace, harmony, and beauty of the landscape, both day and night, the sunrise and sunset, and the stars. And thus you can get away from the exhausting electromagnetic waves (WIFI is turned off after midnight) and fully enjoy your revitalizing stay in the heart of nature here.
Finally, the equipment loaned to the lodging and the games & sports room must remain on the premises (risk of loss or theft), unless requested in writing and agreed upon beforehand (by text message or email). As with everything in the room and the accommodations, please remember to take care of it as if it were your own and to put everything back in its place after each use and especially after departure. The security deposit also serves this purpose.
Essential : Notify us in case of occasional daytime guests but totally prohibited at night due to our maximum capacity (including at the pool), prior calculation of charges and tourist tax. Knowing that normally all parties, receptions, classes, conferences, or even commercial videos are prohibited without our prior consent, except of course for occasions such as Christmas, New Year's Day, Bastille Day, etc., we ask, as a priority, that you preserve the spirit of the place, the restorative calm of nature, and the tranquility of the people and animals all around, as well as our other visitors, neighbors, and villagers. Therefore, we ask that you refrain from playing loud music outside, using sound systems or speakers, and keep noise to a minimum, especially between 11 pm and 7 am, even in summer. This is also why, as a general rule, PARTYING AND ALCOHOLIC PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED AT MAS NATURA, and obviously, no drugs, theft, prostitution, espionage, or exhibitionism, etc. Our capacity is limited, and French law must be respected when you accept our Terms and Conditions.
For groups of friends or families, It's important to know that the person who made the reservation is legally considered our primary client and therefore responsible for the other guests. They must ensure that the rules of conduct, hygiene, and safety at Mas Natura are properly communicated, monitored, and enforced throughout the stay. This designated person must also sign the contract upon arrival, including the inventory and terms and conditions, and commit to being present from the beginning to the end of the stay, both for check-in and for returning the keys and the security deposit. Otherwise, the deposit will not be refunded, even if you are part of the same group of friends or family.
The remaining safety, courtesy, and hygiene measures are common sense. Thank you in advance for your help and understanding! Also, please see our page Important Information
